Christian Stewards Marks 25 Years of Cultivating a Culture of Biblical Generosity

Quezon City, Philippines — Christian Stewards, the country’s foremost faith organization dedicated to teaching stewardship and Biblical generosity, is celebrating 25 years of God’s faithfulness – marking a milestone that reflects a journey from a simple calling into a growing movement that is shaping lives, churches, and leaders across the Philippines and beyond.

As the organization commemorates its 25th anniversary this year, Christian Stewards is honoring the people and partnerships that have made the journey possible, while looking ahead with renewed vision for the years to come.

“For 25 years, we have witnessed the faithfulness of God in ways we could never have imagined,” said Dr. Zenet Maramara, founder and president of Christian Stewards.

“What started as a calling to help Christians understand Biblical stewardship has grown into a movement that equips believers to honor God with their time, talents, treasure, and influence. Our prayer is that the next generation will carry this vision even further, transforming communities through lives marked by generosity.”

Since its founding, Christian Stewards has worked alongside churches, Christian organizations, business leaders, and individuals – helping them cultivate a whole-life understanding of stewardship rooted in Scripture.

“In a world marked by economic pressure, widening inequality, and shifting priorities, we believe that the message of Biblical stewardship remains deeply relevant. Many believers want to honor God with their resources, but often lack both the theological foundation and practical guidance to do so. Even churches and ministries struggle in this area, and that is what we are here for – to bridge the gap and equip them to become faithful stewards of the resources God has entrusted,” Maramara added.

 Looking back and forging ahead

By God’s grace, the ministry has seen significant impact over the past 25 years. Christian Stewards has equipped more than 12,000 pastors, ministry leaders, and lay leaders through conferences, seminars, and training programs. Through initiatives such as the Fundraising Institute, the organization has strengthened churches and Christian ministries with sustainable, biblically grounded stewardship practices.

It has also influenced business and professional leaders toward ethical leadership and generous living, while fostering collaborations locally and globally to advance what it calls the Philippine Generosity Ecosystem – a growing movement that encourages generosity across sectors of society.

“For us, this anniversary is not just about looking back,” said Suzanne Lopez, executive director of Christian Stewards. “It is about asking how we can steward the next 25 years faithfully. The need for stewardship formation is greater than ever, and we believe God is calling us to invest deeply in raising a new generation of generous leaders who will serve churches, communities, and the nation.”

Among those who have witnessed the impact of stewardship training is Todd Eichenauer, Head of Global Partnership Development at Faith Academy and an alumnus of the Fundraising Institute.

“Christian Stewards has helped shape leaders who understand that generosity is not merely about giving – it is about faithful stewardship of everything God has entrusted to us,” Eichenauer said. “The training and formation they provide are strengthening churches and ministries not just in the Philippines but in the wider global community.”
