DESCRIPTION

The Collaboration in Generosity is a back-to-back conference consisting of the 3rd Philippine Generosity Summit and the Compass Asia Pacific Conference.

The Philippine Generosity Summit is a bi-annual gathering of biblical generosity leaders, advocates, champions, and like-minded organizations for learning and collaboration.

 

The Compass Asia Pacific Conference will gather representatives from 12 AP countries, various partners, and global ministries to collaborate on working together for greater Kingdom impact in the Asia Pacific.

DR. MELBA MAGGAY

Keynote Speaker

Founder, Institute for Studies in Asian Church and Culture Dr. Melba Padilla Maggay is a prolific writer, social anthropologist and activist and a much sought-after international speaker and consultant on culture and social development issues, particularly the interface of religion, culture and development. Dr. Maggay is President of the Institute for Studies in Asian Church and Culture (ISACC) a research and training organization engaged in development, missiology and cross-cultural studies aimed at social transformation. She is also President of Micah Global, an alliance of more than 800 faith-based development organizations worldwide. She was a research fellow at the University of Cambridge, served as Northrup Visiting Professor at Hope College, Michigan and was a Visiting Lecturer at All Nations Christian College in England. She holds a Ph.D. in Philippine Studies, a M.A. in English Literature, and a B.A. in Mass Communications from the University of Philippines. She is a three-time top-prize winner in the Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards, the most prestigious literary prize in the Philippines. As a social activist, she had been cited for her outstanding leadership in organizing the religious movements, particularly the evangelical Protestant presence, at the EDSA barricades during the Philippine ‘People Power’ uprising in February 1986. Dr. Maggay has sat on numerous governing boards of both local and international research and faith-based organizations, notably the International Advisory Council of the Knowledge Centre for Religion and Development in the Netherlands, a tripartite partnership among ICCO, CORDAID and the Institute for Social Studies (ISS) in The Hague. Likewise, she was a founding board member of the International Life and Peace Institute, a peace research organization based in Uppsala, Sweden and also on the boards of the Bible Society, Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship in the Philippines. She has long been associated with International Fellowship of Mission Theologians (INFEMIT) and served in the International Council of Interserve.

CHRISTEEN RICO-GREEN

Founder and CEO, Dream Bigger Philippines Christeen Rico Green is a wife, a proud Filipino-American, and the founder and CEO of Dream Bigger—a global platform unlocking values-aligned capital for Filipino-led startups. With a mission to co-create sustainable jobs in the Philippines through bridge-building and tech entrepreneurship, Christeen and her team have supported over 40 founders through their accelerator and built a growing network of global investors who share their commitment to five core values: Wholeness, Freedom, Empathy, Generosity, and Legacy. ‍ Born in the Philippines and raised in the SF Bay Area, Christeen holds both her BS and MS degrees from NYU’s Stern School of Business. She spent nearly a decade in Silicon Valley, first as a management consultant at PwC and later leading international expansion programs at Apple. Driven by purpose and energized by impact, Christeen is a natural “Achiever” (StrengthsFinder) who once poured herself fully into work—but often at the cost of her own health. Her journey toward wholeness was neither instant nor linear. Over the past 10+ years, Christeen has slowly cultivated daily habits that transformed her life—starting with journaling, daily prayer and Bible reading, then hydration, plant-forward nutrition, and eventually, joy-filled exercise. Her lived experience fuels her passion today: helping founders lead from a place of wholeness in mind, body, spirit, and relationships.

PETER TAN-CHI JR.

Marketplace Ministry Lead, Christ’s Commission Fellowship Peter completed his undergrad at Ateneo and has an MBA from the Wharton School of Business. He works in finance for a real estate developer. The eldest son of Pastor Peter and Deonna Tanchi, Peter Jr. loves technology and sports and is a Dgroup leader along with his wife, Jennifer whom he met in New York City and have been married to for 13 years. They have three children, Teegan, Taylen, and Treyson ages 10, 6, and 3. Peter and Jennifer are also active volunteers for UNIQUE, a ministry for children with special needs.

Regional Lead of APAC Praxis, Redemptive Investing Wen Li Lim is the APAC Regional Lead for Praxis, a venture-building ecosystem advancing redemptive quests, supporting founders, funders, and innovators motivated by their faith to address the major issues of our time. Based in Singapore, she has spent the last five years immersed in the intersection between faith, investing, sustainability and entrepreneurship, focusing on partnerships across the region. This has included roles at Faith Driven Investor, an impact VC fund and a mental health tech company. Her initial two decades of experience in Perth Australia includes 10 years at EY, international HR at a ASX listed mineral sands company, founding a non-profit and COO at her local church. Wen’s passion is building communities in various sectors, including creation care (with A Rocha Singapore), Christians in Web3 (co-founder) and most recently in the stewardship space (Stewardship Collective). She is driven by collaborative action, to propel resources to flow into the most needed places in the region.

Director, Compass Asia Pacific James graduated with a Master of Business Administration degree from Brunel University in 1996, and Bachelor of Business degree from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1991. James has distinguished himself as a business professional well established in strategic alliance and partnership management, and end-to-end supply chain management solutions architect. Over the past thirty years, James had contributed significantly in several industry segments such as consumer electronics, communication equipment, medical devices, and safety, security and surveillance devices, for both private and public sectors. As a business consultant, he helps to build business models well supported with capacity and resources management for stakeholders throughout the entire value chain. James serve as Director in Compass Asia Pacific. Located in Singapore, he serves the region including China. His passion is to teach marketplace people to handle money based on the principles of the Bible. He desires people to know Christ more intimately, be free to serve and to fund the Great Commission. James married Jessie in 1986 and they have two children, Kevin (married to Nettra) and Kenny, and one grandson Kaeden.

MARVIN ADOLFO

Marketplace Mentor, PCEC Commission on Marketplace Chaplaincy Marvin Adolfo has been serving in the ministry for more than 12 years. Currently, he is a lecturer, marketplace ministry coach and corporate church planting coach at IGSL. He is also the lead pastor at House of Prayer Makati, the president of Professional Active Christians Touching Souls (Pro-ACTS) Philippines, and a head facilitator for Kairos Philippines. He founded Pro-ACTS Philippines, which aims to mobilize Christian professionals to help fulfill the Great Commission locally and globally. As an adjunct faculty of IGSL, he wants to help students develop a heart to reach the remaining unreached people groups in the Philippines and Asia. He also envisions helping develop companies and churches to be engaged in the global missions of God. Marvin is from Bacolod City, Negros Occidental in the western part of the Visayas islands. He is married to Michelle Ann, and they are blessed with two children, Jonathan Edward and Keilah Esther. Marvin is an avid player of badminton, and he loves to travel for cross-cultural missions and exposure trips to the unreached people groups.

Johan values building cross-cultural relationships and bridging social barriers to bring like-minded people together. Through his family foundation, he supports the establishment of schools and children’s homes in remote parts of Africa. Having a passion for travel and being a musician enables him to bring creativity and joy to all he does and to those he meets. Johan and his wife Leigh currently divide their time between Boston USA, and Cape Town, South Africa.
